LG Manoj Sinha participates in crucial 32nd Northern Zonal Council Meet in Faridabad

Srinagar November 18,2025: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha participated in the 32nd meeting of the Northern Zonal Council held in Faridabad, Haryana, under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah.

The meeting brought together top leadership from northern states and Union Territories to review key issues related to regional cooperation, security, infrastructure development, inter-state coordination, and public welfare initiatives.

LG Manoj Sinha highlighted Jammu and Kashmir’s ongoing reforms, development strides, and improved governance mechanisms, reaffirming the UT’s commitment to working closely with the central government and neighbouring states for stable and sustainable progress.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasised the importance of collaborative federalism and efficient resolution of inter-state matters, stressing that the Northern Zonal Council plays a critical role in strengthening coordination among states.

The forum also discussed matters related to transport, power, border management, disaster response, and modern policing, ensuring enhanced cooperation across the northern region.

LG Sinha thanked the Union Home Minister for guiding the Council and reiterated J&K’s dedication to participatory governance and regional harmony.
