Srinagar, October 17,2025: Master craftsman Mir Abdul Majid remains engaged in safeguarding Kashmir’s rich cultural heritage with his own beautiful Aari embroidery, a time-honoured art that is acclaimed for its beautiful needlework and artistic refinement. Hailing from Srinagar, Majid learned how to master the Aari technique over years, which involves very intricate hand embroidery on fabrics, which can often be adorned with beads and sequins.
