Srinagar, 20 September , 2025: Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar and Tyndale Biscoe School (TBS) have secured their places in the grand finale of the 4th C.E. Canon Invitational Football Tournament, following thrilling semifinal victories at the TBS Main Field.
In an exciting semifinal clash, DPS Srinagar defeated St Joseph’s Baramulla 4-2, with Ayaan Bilal earning Man of the Match honours for his outstanding performance. Meanwhile, Tyndale Biscoe School (TBS) outclassed SRM Welkin Sopore 3-1, showcasing teamwork, spirit, and tactical brilliance to book their place in the final.
The semifinals were attended by Rt Revd Manoj Charan, Bishop of the Diocese of Amritsar & Chairman TBMS Society, and Rt Revd Neena Charan, Bishop of the Diocese of Bhopal, who lauded the players for their skill, sportsmanship, and dedication.
Organizers emphasised that the tournament is more than just football—it is a platform for Kashmir’s youth to demonstrate that their strength lies in dreams, resilience, and goals, rather than conflict. The final between DPS Srinagar and TBS symbolises a contest against stereotypes, highlighting youth empowerment, peace, and positive engagement in sports in the region.
