CS Atal Dulloo seeks central assistance for restoration of flood-hit infrastructure

Srinagar, September 09 , 2025: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo of Jammu and Kashmir has sought urgent Central assistance for the restoration of flood-hit infrastructure across the Union Territory. Reviewing the damage caused by the recent floods, Dulloo directed officials to prepare detailed assessment reports and prioritise the rehabilitation of essential services.

He emphasised that roads, bridges, schools, health centres, and power supply lines require immediate attention to restore normal life in the affected regions. The Chief Secretary assured that the UT administration is committed to ensuring timely relief to the people and will work closely with the Government of India for mobilising resources.

The appeal for Central aid highlights the gravity of the losses suffered and the need for a coordinated effort to rebuild resilient infrastructure capable of withstanding future natural calamities.
