Billawar, September 6,2025: As part of the Campaign for Prevention of Water-Borne Diseases, the Health Department organised a series of medical camps in various villages of Billawar.
During the camps, health teams provided health education sessions, distributed essential medicines and Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS), and spread awareness about the importance of safe drinking water and sanitation practices to curb the spread of water-borne diseases.
Medical officers also conducted on-spot health check-ups and advised residents on preventive measures against diseases such as diarrhoea, cholera, and typhoid, which commonly occur during monsoon and flood-affected seasons.
The initiative was well-received by the local population, who appreciated the timely intervention by the administration to safeguard community health.
