Budgam, September 6 ,2025 : The Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat , visited the Zoonipora breach site to take stock of the situation and review ongoing restoration measures.
Accompanied by district and irrigation officials, the DC inspected the breach-affected area and directed concerned departments to carry out immediate repair works to prevent further damage. He also interacted with local residents and assured them that the administration is committed to ensuring timely flood protection measures and safeguarding nearby habitations and agricultural land.
The DC emphasised close coordination among departments to strengthen embankments, restore essential services, and provide necessary relief to the affected population.
Officials said continuous monitoring will be maintained at the breach site until complete restoration is achieved.
