Srinagar, August 6: Continuing his ongoing public outreach initiative, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met with several delegations today in Srinagar, reaffirming his government’s commitment to inclusive governance and grassroots engagement.
The delegations, comprising representatives from various civil society groups, trade associations, youth organizations, and local panchayat members, presented their issues and suggestions related to developmental projects, infrastructure needs, and employment opportunities. The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to each delegation and assured timely redressal of genuine grievances.
Speaking on the occasion, Omar Abdullah reiterated his administration’s focus on transparency, accountability, and public participation in the decision-making process. He emphasized that regular interaction with the public and stakeholders is essential for ensuring that governance remains responsive and people-centric.
This interactive session is part of a broader initiative aimed at bridging the gap between the government and the citizens, particularly in the wake of recent developmental efforts across Jammu and Kashmir.
Senior officials from the civil administration were also present during the meetings and took note of the issues raised for prompt action.
