Baramulla, July 15, 2025 – The Varmul Gindo-2025 multi-sport festival reached its grand finale on Monday, July 14, 2025, with electrifying finals in Volleyball, Kabaddi, and Karate at the Prof. Showkat Ali Indoor Stadium in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. The event, a vibrant celebration of youth, sportsmanship, and community spirit, drew over 1,250 spectators and featured 184 athletes showcasing passion, discipline, and competitive excellence.
A Spectacular Display of TalentThe month-long Varmul Gindo-2025, organised by the J&K Sports Council, District Sports Association Baramulla, and the Indian Army, culminated in a thrilling day of sports. The finals captivated the audience with high-energy performances across multiple disciplines:
- Volleyball: Teams displayed remarkable agility and teamwork, with intense rallies that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
- Kabaddi: The Senior Men’s Kabaddi final saw Harmukh Warriors triumph over United North Kashmir in a gripping contest involving 24 participants, showcasing strategic prowess and physical endurance.
- Karate: The Karate finals featured 16 matches with 25 athletes, delivering intense action and highlighting the discipline’s precision and skill.
A football match between Hyder FC and Dash FC also kicked off at 5:30 PM at the Showkat Ali Stadium, drawing an initial crowd of nearly 200, which swelled as the game progressed.
