Srinagar, June 28, 2025 – Two young athletes from the PMDP Kabaddi Centre in Pulwama have earned a spot to represent Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) at the 1st Youth National Kabaddi Championship for Boys and Girls, scheduled in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, from June 28 to July 1, 2025. This achievement underscores Pulwama’s growing reputation as a hub for kabaddi talent.
The athletes, selected through a rigorous process, will compete under the J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council. They underwent intensive training at a coaching camp held at Kabaddi Stadium, Jammu, concluding on June 27, 2025. The J&K team was flagged off for Haridwar on June 26, 2025, by Balkrishan, Additional Registrar, Cooperative Societies, J&K.
