Srinagar, May 18, 2025 – The Annual Training Camp (ATC-2025) started today at the National Training Academy (NTA) Nagrota, with enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets, mostly from the Kashmir region. Organized by the National Cadet Corps (NCC), the camp aims to instill discipline, leadership, and patriotism among young participants through a dynamic training program.
The ATC-2025 gathers cadets from schools and colleges across Kashmir, providing opportunities to develop skills in drill practice, rifle sekund, physical training, obstacle courses, and life skills. The program includes specialized sessions on SSB preparation, dining etiquette, yoga, and cybersecurity, promoting holistic growth. Emphasizing teamwork, resilience, and national pride, the camp aligns with the NCC’s mission to shape future leaders.
An NCC Directorate Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh spokesperson stated, “From sunrise physical training and yoga to firing trials and leadership workshops, cadets are strengthening their mind, body, and spirit.” The camp features social service initiatives and guest lectures on topics like artificial intelligence and disaster management, equipping cadets with practical knowledge.
Held at the state-of-the-art NTA Nagrota, the ten-day camp serves as a selection platform for events like the Thal Sainik Competition, Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026, and SNIC Srinagar 2025. Cadets expressed excitement about skill development and bonding with peers. “This camp builds character and a sense of duty toward our nation,” shared a Srinagar cadet, many of whom aspire to join the Indian Armed Forces.
The ATC-2025 underscores the NCC’s role in youth empowerment in Jammu and Kashmir, following initiatives like the Para Basic Course at AATS Agra and the NCC Special Entry Scheme 2025, reinforcing its commitment to nurturing leadership.
