J&K Film Policy opens the doors for shooting opportunities in Kashmir

The J&K Film Policy was developed after consulting with all the stakeholders said Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha. The Film Policy will help Jammu & Kashmir Government in the development of a vibrant film ecosystem in the UT. The government is trying its best to bring back the environment of the yesteryears. To effectively implement the J&K Film Policy, the government last year allocated Rs 500 crore. Film Actor Amir Khan said it is a happy moment that J&K Film Policy has been developed. It will give a chance to the industry to film in Kashmir and to shoot in these beautiful locations. Irrfan Marazi, CEO Flock Entertainment while shooting in Kashmir said, we thought this was an opportune time to start with our first Urdu Web series. We have been here shooting for the last 18-20 days. Web series Armaan is being shot in Kashmir. The Kashmir-based web series has actors Ashmit Patel and Zarina Wahab among others. In the beginning, I was a bit skeptical about it. We have shot in many places like Punjab, UP, Maharashtra, but here we did not know how the shoot will be perceived, and what will be the reaction of people. We applied for permission and to my pleasant surprise, things turned out smoothly. It was like it is too good to be true. My permissions were sought over the phone. I did not need to come here personally. I was able to speak to the bureaucrats connected with the Film Development Corporation. People were so cooperative and cordial. Kashmir offers the most comfortable shooting opportunities across India. People in Kashmir are so helpful and forthcoming. We have shot in every locale outdoors and indoors and I have not faced any single issue anywhere, said the CEO of Flock Entertainment.
