Baramulla, February 22: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, recently visited Nagbal, Seerjageer, and Ladoora to inspect ongoing developmental projects aimed at improving connectivity in the region.
The DC reviewed the progress of the Ladoora-Nagbal Bridge, currently under construction at a cost of ₹5.17 crore, and the Sopore-Seerjageer Bridge, with an estimated investment of ₹12.69 crore. These vital infrastructure projects are expected to significantly enhance road connectivity and ease transportation for the local population.
During the inspection, Minga Sherpa directed the concerned executing agencies to expedite work while ensuring that quality standards are maintained. He stressed the importance of employing modern engineering techniques, adhering to proper safety protocols, and minimising public inconvenience during the construction phase. He also emphasized the need for close monitoring of progress to ensure the projects are completed within the stipulated timeframes.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, the Superintending Engineer of Roads & Buildings, and other concerned officials during the inspection.
