Jammu ,December 20,2025: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday chaired a comprehensive review meeting of subordinate departments of the Home Department at Lok Bhavan, Jammu, to assess administrative functioning and progress on key initiatives in the Union Territory.
During the meeting, the Lieutenant Governor also reviewed the implementation and progress of the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan in Jammu and Kashmir. He held detailed discussions with Deputy Commissioners and senior health officials on strengthening strategies and targeted interventions to achieve the national goal of tuberculosis elimination.
LG Sinha emphasized the need for robust inter-departmental coordination, early detection, timely treatment, and community participation to effectively curb tuberculosis. He called for intensified awareness campaigns, improved diagnostics, and continuous monitoring at the district level to ensure measurable outcomes.
The Lieutenant Governor directed district administrations and the Health Department to adopt data-driven approaches, ensure last-mile delivery of healthcare services, and provide comprehensive support to TB patients, in line with the objectives of the national programme.
Senior officers briefed the LG on current status, challenges, and best practices being implemented across districts. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to accelerate efforts towards making Jammu and Kashmir TB-free.
