Srinagar,January 6,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said that India’s youth, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, are redefining sports excellence through discipline, determination, and dedication, reflecting the country’s growing sporting culture and competitive spirit.
Addressing a sports-related event, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted the transformational role of youth in elevating India’s presence on national and international sporting platforms. He said that structured training programmes, improved infrastructure, and initiatives like Khelo India have provided young athletes with opportunities to showcase their talent and achieve excellence.
LG Manoj Sinha lauded young sportspersons for their hard work and perseverance, stating that their achievements are a testament to the changing sports ecosystem in the country. He emphasised that sports not only build physical strength but also instil values such as teamwork, leadership, and resilience among the youth.
Referring to the growing success of athletes from Jammu and Kashmir, the Lieutenant Governor said the region’s youth are emerging as strong competitors across various disciplines, bringing pride to the nation. He added that the administration remains committed to promoting sports at the grassroots level and creating an enabling environment for young talent.
