Kashmir Ahead

Youth at Risk: LG Manoj Sinha Flags Conspiracy Behind Drug Abuse in J&K Jammu and Kashmir stands at a very crucial juncture today, the Lieutenant Governor of J & K Shri Manoj Sinha said. As part of some conspiracy, there is a plot going on to make the young generation here addicted to drugs and ruin the entire young generation. In 2020, the Drug-Free India campaign was launched under the leadership of the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. A lot of efforts have been made in Jammu & Kashmir to eradicate drug addiction. Last year in 2025, a big campaign was launched for de-addiction. The actions of the police and security forces are also proving effective. Despite this, it was felt that by uniting different sections of the society, a mass campaign against drug abuse and drug dealers should be launched throughout Jammu and Kashmir. A comprehensive plan has been prepared and a hundred-day programme has been worked out. All civil society members, all political parties, educationists, sportspersons and people from different sections of society have been invited to the event on 11th April at Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu. On this day, we will take a pledge against drug addiction and also undertake a march. This campaign is going to run throughout Jammu and Kashmir. I appeal to all of you, to people from all sections of society, that this pledge statement is not of any one person, LG said. The future of the youth of entire Jammu and Kashmir is in question. Such heartbreaking incidents are heard that it is heartbreaking. I am requesting you all very humbly to consider this campaign as your campaign and join this campaign. This is not just a yatra but a mission with an objective to make Jammu and Kashmir drug-free and to take effective action against drug dealers, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir Shri Manoj Sinha.
