Kupwara, February 20,2026- The #WinterTuition2026 initiative successfully concluded on February 18, 2026, at Keran, Mandian, and Kundiya, marking the culmination of a 45-day academic mission that empowered over 294 students across five centres in border areas of north Kashmir.
Organised by the Indian Army, the programme aimed at strengthening foundational learning, providing academic support, and bridging educational gaps for students in remote and snow-bound regions. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and positive support from parents and local communities.
The winter tuition programme focused on core subjects, personality development, and confidence-building activities to help students prepare for upcoming examinations. Special emphasis was laid on mentoring and interactive learning sessions, ensuring holistic development.
Officials said the initiative reflects the Army’s continued commitment to nation-building through community outreach and youth engagement in far-flung areas. By facilitating access to education during harsh winter months, the programme provided students with an opportunity to stay academically engaged despite seasonal challenges.
The successful completion of #WinterTuition2026 in Keran, Mandian, and Kundiya stands as a testament to the transformative power of education in empowering youth and strengthening the social fabric of Jammu & Kashmir.
