Srinagar, November 15,2025: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday said that Vande Mataram is the “inner song of every Indian heart,” as he attended the valedictory function marking the first phase of the 150th year commemoration of Vande Mataram.
Speaking at the event, the LG said that the anthem continues to inspire generations and remains a powerful symbol of India’s unity, identity, and cultural strength. “Every Indian heart has an inner song, and that song is Vande Mataram. During the freedom struggle, when one person sang Vande Mataram, countless others hummed it back, creating an unbreakable bond of patriotism,” he said.
The LG expressed pride in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir securing first rank nationally in overall participation in the commemoration initiative. More than 20,000 students and citizens took part in today’s event, showcasing what he called a “strong reflection of national pride and collective spirit.”
He urged the youth to draw inspiration from Vande Mataram and contribute to building a progressive and peaceful Jammu & Kashmir. “We must carry forward the ideas and ideals of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, whose words ignited the freedom movement. His vision should guide our mission of creating a prosperous and harmonious J&K,” he added.
The event concluded with cultural performances, patriotic recitations, and mass participation activities that highlighted the emotional and historic significance of Vande Mataram.
