Ramban, January 19,2026– The week-long celebrations of the second phase of ‘Vande Mataram’ commenced today in Ramban district with an inaugural programme held at the district headquarters, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Alyas Khan.
The opening ceremony featured the National Anthem, followed by patriotic songs presented by students and participants, creating an atmosphere of national pride and unity. The programme highlighted the theme of this year’s Republic Day celebrations as ‘Vande Mataram’, emphasizing patriotism, constitutional values, and collective responsibility.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner underscored the importance of such celebrations in fostering a sense of national identity, unity, and civic consciousness, especially among the youth. He encouraged active participation from all sections of society in the week-long activities planned across the district.
The second phase of the Vande Mataram celebrations will include a series of cultural, educational, and patriotic programmes aimed at strengthening public engagement and awareness of national values in Ramban.
