Srinagar, 3 September ,2025- The Meteorological Department Srinagar (MeT Srinagar) has predicted a significant improvement in the weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir starting tomorrow.
According to officials, the region, which has witnessed incessant rainfall, waterlogging, and rising river levels over the past few days, is expected to see a reduction in precipitation from Thursday. The improvement in weather will help ease the ongoing flood-like situation in parts of the Valley and Jammu region.
The MeT office added that while scattered light rain may occur in some higher reaches, the overall conditions will improve, bringing relief to residents and assisting the administration in restoration works. Authorities have advised people to continue following safety guidelines and stay alert until water levels in major rivers and streams fully recede.
This forecast comes as a major relief for people in flood-hit districts including Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian, Budgam, and Srinagar, as well as Jammu, Rajouri, and Poonch, where continuous rainfall had disrupted normal life.
