Nowshera, September 6, 2025: As part of the ongoing campaign for preventive measures against water-borne diseases, a team headed by the Worthy Executive Engineer Nowshera, along with the Assistant Executive Engineer Sunderbani, carried out an on-spot testing exercise in Sub-Division Sunderbani.
The technical exercise was conducted under the expert guidance of Dr. Sudarshan Kumar, Chemist, who supervised the sampling and testing process to ensure safe and potable drinking water supply for residents.
During the inspection, water sources and distribution points were tested on the spot to check contamination levels and ensure compliance with safety standards. The officials stressed that the initiative is aimed at safeguarding public health by preventing the spread of water-borne diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and diarrhea, particularly during the ongoing rainy season.
Authorities assured that such testing drives will be conducted regularly in different areas of Nowshera and Sunderbani subdivisions to maintain strict quality control over drinking water supplies.
The campaign is part of the broader preventive health measures being undertaken by the administration to protect vulnerable communities and raise awareness about safe water practices.
