Jammu, November 5,2025: Pacer Vishal once again proved his mettle with a brilliant five-wicket haul, keeping Jammu and Kashmir in the contest as they ended Day 3 at 65 for 3, chasing Gujarat’s imposing total of 320 in their Ranji Trophy encounter.
Vishal’s fiery spell dismantled Gujarat’s middle order, restricting what could have been a much larger lead. His disciplined line and movement off the pitch earned him impressive figures of 5 for 62, marking his second consecutive five-wicket haul of the season.
Earlier, Gujarat resumed their innings at 210/5 but were bundled out for 320, thanks to Vishal’s late burst and crucial support from left-arm spinner Aqib Nabi, who chipped in with two wickets.
Chasing 320, J&K had a shaky start as they lost both openers early. Captain Henan Malik and Abid Mushtaq were at the crease when stumps were drawn, with the team needing 255 more runs for victory on the final day.
The final day promises an exciting finish, with J&K aiming for a strong batting display to chase down the target or secure a hard-fought draw.
