ANANTNAG, JANUARY 20: The progress of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) in Anantnag was visible in Block Hiller on Saturday. The VBSY Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Van journeyed through Changoo, Hiller, Sadipora A, Poolia, Munda, Sadipora B, Tengloo, and Check Wangund Gram Panchayats with increased community involvement, demonstrating commitment to the region’s progress.
In a notable achievement for the Yatra in Anantnag district, over 2.53 lakh people actively engaged, highlighting the potential of this movement in uniting towards a developed India.
The Yatra, covering the farthest reaches, played a role in disseminating awareness on government welfare schemes. Citizens actively participated in government schemes during the Yatra, with over 2499 individuals gaining access to clean cooking fuel under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Distribution of Ayushman cards provided health cover, and more than 94,184 citizens benefited from health screenings at Health Camps during the Yatra.
Moreover, the Yatra facilitated over 222 beneficiaries under the PM SVANidhi scheme and enrolled more than 215 new beneficiaries under PM KISAN, promoting financial independence and agricultural support. The ‘MY Bharat’ initiative witnessed over 16,097 lakh youth registering, reflecting a surge in engagement within the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
Beyond being a mere march, the Yatra symbolizes a call to action throughout the district. Today’s efforts signal a promising future, emphasizing the empowerment of every citizen and marking a collective resolve to propel India towards its vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047. It highlights that the journey towards a developed India is a collective endeavor.
