The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha said, we take an oath to realise the dream of India becoming a self-reliant and developed nation by 2047. I pay tribute to Lord Birsa Munda on his birth anniversary. Today, on the occasion of Tribal Day, I also salute the tribal freedom fighters. Tribal society has made an unforgettable contribution in the development of history and culture of Jammu and Kashmir and the country. And hence from my heart I express my gratitude to all such great men, LG said. Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is starting from today, said the Prime Minister in his speech. This yatra will start today on 15th November, the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda and will continue till 26th January. This is a journey of determination for the development of our villages by developing the socio-economic system. It is also a journey of resolve for the development of the deprived people, especially the tribal community, who are living on a daily basis and who can contribute optimally to the progress of the nation. It is also a pledge to build a strong edifice of welfare state by ensuring the saturation of all the facilities. In the first phase, Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra will be started in selected 69 tribal districts of the country, LG said. The Lt Gov said that he was happy that two districts of Jammu and Kashmir, Bandipora and Rajouri are also included in the awareness campaign. In the third week of this month, in all the Panchayats and Wards, the Bharat Sankalp Yatra will begin. Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a wonderful effort to make people aware about the schemes through outreach activities, ensure their saturation and empower the individual and community at the last stage of development. In the context of Jammu and Kashmir, the Bharat Sankalp Yatra will become an extension of the Back to Village programme. The Central Government has appointed government in-charges to take care of it, LG said. I request that all citizens actively participate in this campaign. Only with the help of the administration can we together achieve all the goals of nation building quickly, said the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha.
