Udhampur, January 31,2026- Kavya Singh, a Class 6 student from Udhampur, secured first place in the UT-level online essay writing contest organized by the Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), Jammu & Kashmir, as part of the 77th Republic Day celebrations.
Demonstrating exceptional writing skills and clarity of thought, Kavya outshone participants from across the Union Territory. She was awarded a cash prize of ₹10,000 and was felicitated by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, in recognition of her outstanding achievement.
The contest aimed to encourage young minds to express their ideas and perspectives on themes related to national values, unity, and democratic spirit. Kavya’s achievement has brought pride to her family, school, and the entire Udhampur district.
