Unsung Heroes Ensure Amarnath Yatris’ Water Supply & Langar Support at Baltal Base Camp Day & Night

This is a big spring and water is coming from underground. It has four lines running. Two lines are going to Baltal Base Camp to serve the Amarnath yatris. This is our work to supply water. We have to serve day and night. Come day or night is nothing for us. This is our service. Delivery of water to langar walas. Especially for the soldiers who come first in our priority. We arrive here one month before the Amarnath Yatra begins, said water supply workers. We are working here for the past 15 years. Hindus and Muslims here are brothers. We sit and wake up with them, they are doing us a good service too. We are together. Langar walas provide hot water. Sometimes we also give them hot water. We are thankful to God that we are able to do sewa day and night, said water supply workers.
