Unity, Courage & Progress: How Jammu & Kashmir is Marching Ahead under PM Modi’s Vision On the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the flag off of ‘Run for Unity’ was done in his memory. The main objective of ‘Run for Unity’ is to tell the people that unity is not achieved just like that but only by striving for unity with a strong determination, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha in his address speech at UT Diwas celebration in J&K. Six years ago on this day, under the leadership and strong will of the respected Prime Minister of India, Shri Modi Ji, the Jammu Kashmir Reorganization Rules 2019 were implemented for this collective strength and pace of development. Before the establishment of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the fear and terror ecosystem in the entire Jammu and Kashmir has ended.People have participated enthusiastically in the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections. LG said. Even in remote villages, people campaigned until 11 p.m. The roots of democracy have become stronger. The strike is now a thing of the past. Perhaps the new generation has started forgetting stone pelting. After the Pahalgam attack, people in Jammu and Kashmir came out on the streets and not only raised slogans against terrorism and Pakistan, but also displayed courage. Government jobs are being provided to terror-affected families. FIRs are being filed in cases where they haven’t been filed. Property confiscated by terrorists is also being returned to them. The national highway was closed for several days due to the natural disaster. In such a situation, Indian Railways ensured that the railway line proved to be a lifeline only for the farmer brothers of Kashmir, LG pointed out. The kind of infrastructure support that the Indian government has given to Jammu and Kashmir, I can safely say that it is unprecedented. Highway tunnel projects worth more than Rs 1.5 lakh crore are underway in Jammu and Kashmir today due to the Government of India. Jammu and Kashmir has also recently received Rs 4,240 crore under the Rural Roads Scheme (PMGSY-IV). On June 23, the Government of India has given an additional Rs 10,637 crore for road construction. Jammu and Kashmir Bank is a living example. In 2020, it was in loss of Rs 1149 thousand crore. Rs 1700 crore profit was seen in year 23-24. Jammu and Kashmir Bank is going to earn a profit of more than Rs 2000 crore in this financial year, LG stated. More than 1,020 startups are registered. And the most heartening thing is that 380 startups are being led by our daughters, this is a matter of great pride for Jammu and Kashmir. Reforms and many initiatives have been taken in the craft sector as well as in the handicraft sector, LG said. Jammu and Kashmir is a topic of discussion in the entire country today in the field of education. Many institutions of national importance have been established here due to the Honourable Prime Minister, be it IIT, IIM, AIIMS, Central University or NIFT, said the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Siinha.
