Kashmir,January 15,2026-Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan on Thursday held a high-level meeting with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to review the security scenario in Jammu & Kashmir. Officials said the discussion focused on the ongoing anti-terror operations, law and order management, and the operational preparedness of the security forces in the Union Territory.
During the meeting, both officials deliberated on the strategic measures to strengthen counter-terror operations and enhance coordination among the security agencies. The Union Home Secretary also assessed the readiness of various security formations to respond effectively to any emerging threats in the region.
The meeting underscores the continued emphasis of the Union Government on maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety and security of residents in Jammu & Kashmir. Officials said that proactive measures and intelligence-driven operations remain a priority to tackle terrorism and maintain stability in the UT.
