Tricolour stands for brotherhood, given a lot of significance in J&K schools

Goonj raha hai duniya mein Hindustan ka naara

Chamak raha hai aasmaan mein ye Tiranga hamara!

We school students are very enthusiastic and happy to celebrate our 75th Independence Day, a student Sehrish Jan said. The preparations made us all jubilant. We all should have this ‘josh’ in us for the Tiranga. The 15th of August is a day we remember with pride. We hoist our national flag in school and sing national anthem. The tricolours saffron, white and green fills up the school area. The Independence Day event is given a lot of significance in our schools. Even common citizens in Kashmir feel like saluting the national flag. Whether in Kashmir or Kanya Kumari, the Tricolour holds the same value for everyone. Just like Hindu-Muslim stands for brotherhood, so does the Tiranga. A father aptly said, the children are our future, so we should allow the feelings of nationalism to grow within their hearts.
