A One-Day Awareness Camp cum Training Workshop was organised by the government of Jammu & Kashmir on different scholarship schemes/NSP of the Tribal Affairs Department on November 12, 2022 in Pulwama. The Tribal Community is least aware of the schemes run by the government. The LG government and DC Pulwama are ensuring that the tribal schemes reach the far away villages. We will spread the schemes every two years, said the officials. The tribal community members said, for 70 years, we have been made fools of and used just for vote banks. We are thankful to the Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha’s administration for making us aware of these schemes available for us. Now our children are getting scholarships and they can study well with the support provided by the government. Funds are available for Gujjars who want to start their own business or do whatever they like. We learnt today at the awareness camp about the various schemes available for us. The tribal community said that the Modi Government has solved the many problems of the scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and the Gujjar- Bakarwal community. The government is processing the schemes and it is our good luck, said the tribal beneficiaries.
