Training programme on Postal Ballot, ETPBS & counting procedures held at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 03: To ensure the smooth conduct of the General Assembly Election 2024 in the district, a one-day training programme focusing on postal ballots, ETPBS and counting procedures was organized here today by the District Election Authority.
The event was held under the chairmanship of District Election Officer Saloni Rai here in the Mini Conference Hall, DC Office Complex.
The training programme began with a detailed PowerPoint presentation by District Informatics Officer NIC, Anish Sharma. The presentation covered critical aspects of the election process, including the scanning and validation of e-postal ballots, the procedures for opening the strong room, counting of postal ballots, and the overall vote counting process in the counting hall. Special emphasis was placed on the procedures involved in ETPBS and the counting of votes received through postal ballots.
During the programme, officers and officials were thoroughly trained on the entire postal ballot process, including the submission of Form 12-D and other essential formalities. The DEO emphasized the importance of a proactive approach, urging all officers to execute their assigned tasks diligently on the ground, while maintaining close cooperation and coordination with line departments.
