“There Is No Need to Be Afraid Anymore” — LG Manoj Sinha’s Message to Terror Victim Families in J&K I would first like to pay tribute to all the martyrs who lost their lives due to terrorism. And I would definitely like to say this to the families who have come I would like to tell them that some issues have been resolved. Whatever is left will also be resolved within the time limit, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha in his address to the Next of Kins (NoKs) of terror victims at Government Degree College, Kupwara. The appointment letter distribution has begun in Baramulla. There was a discussion in Srinagar about holding it in Kupwara as well, but the Election Commission has announced bye-elections. There was no objection, but I felt some people might unnecessarily make an issue out of it.Therefore, I want to assure you that within fifteen days of counting of elections, appointment letters of all eligible candidates of Kupwara, Hindwara will be issued to all through a programme, LG said We have all heard from you about the pain, suffering and decades of struggle of those families. I am also pained by the fact that the Pakistani terrorists, who are responsible for their plight, their masters and their few patrons sitting here in the valley, have also worked to mislead the people of Kashmir for decades. A false narrative was spread here, LG pointed out. And it was said that the aggressors were not the terrorists but the police and the army. Police personnel shed their blood to keep you alive. False propaganda was spread about them. There is an Urdu couplet: मेरा क़ातिल ही मेरा मुंसिफ़ है – क्या मेरे हक़ में फ़ैसला देगा? My murderer is my judge, will he give a verdict in my favour? Slowly the fear and anxiety have subsided, LG said. Terror victim families are coming forward and openly expressing their pain. I want to assure you that there is no need to be afraid anymore. It will definitely be ensured that the criminals among the people get the harshest punishment. I once again express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you and would like to pay tribute to those who have been martyred in terrorist violence. The Lieutenant Governor concluded his speech by expressing his gratitude to all the colleagues of District Administration Kupwara, Save Youth and Save Future Foundation. Jai Hind!
