Kupwara, November 12,2025: In a heartwarming display of communal harmony, a Muslim resident from North Kashmir has donated a piece of his land for the construction of a toilet block at the historic Sharda Temple, near the Line of Control in Kupwara district.
The gesture has been widely hailed by locals as a symbol of Kashmir’s centuries-old tradition of coexistence and mutual respect between communities. The Sharda Temple, located in Teetwal along the Kishanganga River, holds deep cultural and religious significance for Hindus across the region.
The donor’s selfless act aims to improve facilities for pilgrims visiting the site, which has recently seen a rise in devotees and tourists following the revival of the Sharda Peeth corridor initiative.
Community members and officials praised the initiative, calling it a true reflection of Kashmiriyat, where compassion, unity, and humanity transcend religious boundaries.
