Srinagar, September 18,2025:The nationwide health campaign “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan – Healthy Women, Empowered Families”, launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, was attended today by officials, health workers, and community representatives. The initiative aims to promote women’s health, maternal well-being, and family empowerment through a series of targeted interventions.
The 16-day campaign will focus on comprehensive screening, maternal health services, lifestyle counselling, yoga sessions, and AYUSH-based interventions for women, adolescent girls, and children. The Abhiyaan emphasises the critical link between healthy women and strong families, underscoring that women’s well-being directly contributes to a healthier and more prosperous society.
Addressing the inaugural function, the speaker called upon all stakeholders—including government departments, healthcare professionals, community leaders, and civil society—to adopt a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach to ensure the success of the campaign.
“The campaign is not just about healthcare delivery but about creating awareness, empowering women to take charge of their health, and ensuring that every family benefits from holistic well-being,” the official said.
The Abhiyaan is expected to significantly strengthen maternal health care, adolescent health awareness, nutrition programmes, and preventive healthcare measures across the country, aligning with the government’s vision of a healthier and empowered India.
