This year the Amarnath pilgrims will carry a good impression home, says J&K LG Manoj Sinha. The J&K administration is putting a lot of emphasis on cleanliness and we are determined to keep cleanliness as our prime focus. ‘Swachh Amarnath Yatra 2022’ is a concerted effort by the J&K administration so that pilgrims have a good experience. Even the Swachh Bharat initiative started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not just a national slogan, but a commitment for Indians, says Sinha. Various facilities for the pilgrims such as setting up of toilet units, QR Code, washroom, sanitation provision and langer system have been arranged by the J&K government and Shrine Board to make the holy yatra more memorable and beautiful. The J&K government has involved the locals to look after the yatris as they travel from afar. Maps have been put up for the ease of tourists. Through these arrangements, the J&K government is making sure the flow of tourists get their love and attention.
