RAMBAN, AUGUST 29: The District Administration Ramban, under the leadership of District Election Officer (DEO), Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, has intensified its Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) awareness programs across the district.
The awareness programs are designed to educate the electorate about the significance of every single vote in a democracy and to inspire citizens to actively engage in the electoral process. These initiatives emphasize the power of the vote and its impact on shaping governance and public policy.
Today, the District SVEEP team organized awareness programs at Government High School Ramsoo, and in the market areas of Ramsoo and Magerkote, which fall under the 55-Banihal Assembly Constituency. The program was led by Assistant Nodal Officers Manjeet Singh, Abdul Hamid, and Suraj Parkash, under the supervision of the District Nodal Officer SVEEP, Bikram Singh. The SVEEP team from 55 AC-Banihal also participated in the program, ensuring a collaborative approach to reaching out to the local populace.
The SVEEP awareness programs witnessed enthusiastic participation from diverse sections, including local residents, prominent citizens, female voters, and students. The areas covered in today’s outreach were specifically chosen due to historically low voter turnout, with a focus on sensitizing the community about the importance of their right to vote and its profound impact on the future of governance.
Through its ongoing initiatives, the District Administration Ramban is committed to ensuring maximum voter participation in the forthcoming elections. Continuous engagement, education, and outreach activities under the SVEEP initiative are aimed at empowering every voter to make their voice heard.
