Jammu & Kashmir | November 11, 2025-Steady voter participation marked the Jammu and Kashmir bypolls this morning, with Nagrota Assembly constituency recording an impressive 34.47% turnout and Budgam constituency witnessing 21.74% turnout by 11 AM, according to official data released by the Election Commission of India .
Polling began on a peaceful note across both constituencies, with tight security arrangements ensuring smooth conduct of the elections. Long queues of voters were seen outside several polling stations, reflecting strong public engagement and enthusiasm in the democratic process.
In Nagrota, early morning voters braved the chill to cast their ballots, while in Budgam, participation gradually picked up as the day progressed. Election officials reported no major incidents or disruptions, with adequate deployment of J&K Police, CRPF, and polling staff at all locations.
