Srinagar Tulip Garden crosses 2 lakh visitors

Srinagar, April 4,2026- The world-famous Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden has recorded an overwhelming footfall this season, with over 2 lakh tourists visiting the garden so far, according to the Director of Floriculture.

The surge in visitor numbers highlights the growing popularity of the Tulip Garden, which is Asia’s largest and a major attraction during the spring season. Nestled at the foothills of the Zabarwan Range and overlooking the iconic Dal Lake, the garden has become a centerpiece of Kashmir’s tourism calendar.

Officials from the Floriculture Department stated that the increase in tourist inflow is a positive sign for the region’s tourism sector, reflecting improved infrastructure, better connectivity, and a renewed interest among travelers in exploring Jammu and Kashmir’s natural beauty.

The garden, which hosts the annual Tulip Festival, features a vibrant display of millions of tulips in full bloom, drawing visitors from across India and abroad. Tourists have been captivated by the colorful landscape, making it one of the most visited destinations in the Valley during this time of the year.
