Srinagar, April 18,2026- Under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan, the Srinagar Police conducted a series of drug awareness programmes across the district to sensitise the public about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
As part of the initiative, a Nasha Mukt Rally was organised at Khonmoh, drawing enthusiastic participation from students of various local schools, along with youth, elders, and senior citizens. The rally aimed to spread awareness and encourage community involvement in tackling the growing drug menace.
Participants were educated about the serious health and social consequences of drug abuse and were urged to play an active role in building a drug-free society. The programme also highlighted the importance of early intervention, awareness, and collective responsibility.
Officials from District Police Srinagar reiterated their firm commitment to combating drug-related crimes and taking strict action against those involved in drug peddling. They assured continued efforts to safeguard youth and strengthen community resilience.
The Srinagar Police emphasised that such outreach initiatives will continue in the future, focusing on public awareness, youth engagement, and community participation as key pillars in the fight against drug abuse.
