I feel immensely blessed and happy that as an individual I have got a chance to contribute for the environment, says student Siya Musharraf. Dal Lake is the prime tourist spot of Srinagar. So this is a small contribution from my side for the cleaning drive at Dal Lake and I am happy about it. If everyone contributes in small ways at their level, then a big change can come. Speaking about ‘Athwas’ this new cleanliness initiative, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha said that this drive has been undertaken by Srinagar residents and environment lovers. To make this campaign successful, many people have contributed. J&K’s purpose is how to revive its historical and cultural heritage. The Dal Lake is our priceless heritage, the LG said.
