Srinagar, November 30,2025: Srinagar Airport has initiated a project to refresh airfield ground markings using high-grade reflective paint, aimed at improving visibility for aircraft operations during night-time and low-visibility conditions.
Officials explained that clearly defined airfield markings are critical for safe and efficient aircraft movement, helping pilots navigate taxiways, runways, and aprons with greater precision. The upgrade is part of the airport’s ongoing efforts to enhance aviation safety standards and operational efficiency.
The project involves repainting runway, taxiway, and apron markings with reflective coatings that remain visible under adverse weather conditions, including fog and rain.
