Sopore, March 21, 2025 – The Sopore Police launched the T-10 Knockout Cricket Tournament under their Civic Action Program at Eden Park MET Ground in Sopore yesterday, fostering sportsmanship and community engagement. The event, inaugurated by SP Sopore Smt. Divya D-IPS and ASP Sopore Shri. Mir Murtaza-JKPS, saw enthusiastic participation from 10 local teams, aiming to strengthen camaraderie among the youth.
The tournament kicked off with an exciting opening match between Twoes Cricket Club and Friends Eleven. After winning the toss, Friends Eleven posted a formidable 134 runs in 10 overs and clinched a 42-run victory, with Danish earning the Player of the Match award for his stellar 50-run innings. SP Sopore, addressing the players, emphasized the importance of discipline, teamwork, and skill development through sports.
This initiative reflects the Sopore Police’s commitment to encouraging young talent and promoting unity in the region.
