This is Asia’s second largest fruit market. From the Sopore fruit market around 1000 trucks leave everyday carrying fruits to different places and states. The rate of apples has improved this year, said fruit wholesalers in Sopore, Jammu & Kashmir. The Government has supported us. We are grateful to the LG government and we thank everyone. Around 20,000 workers work here on a daily basis in Sopore fruit mandi. Buyers from the country and even international buyers including from Bangladesh also come here. We provide them every facility including food and residence. From May till September fruits buying and selling goes on. The truck drivers come from far away states like Rajasthan. After loading the truck they go back via Srinagar to their respective states
