Kashmir, February 28,2026-Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today inaugurated the Sikh Cricket Premier League, a commendable initiative of the All J&K Sikh Coordination Committee, aimed at promoting sportsmanship, discipline, and inclusivity among youth in the Union Territory.

Speaking at the event, LG Sinha emphasised the importance of training with ferocious discipline and competing with unbreakable unity, both on and off the ground. He praised the organisers for fostering a platform that nurtures talent while instilling values of teamwork, leadership, and resilience.

To promote inclusivity, each team in the league includes youth from other communities, reflecting the Committee’s vision of ensuring that the new generation participates not merely as spectators but as active bearers of brotherhood, social harmony, and inter-community engagement.

LG Manoj Sinha noted that initiatives like the Sikh Cricket Premier League not only strengthen Jammu & Kashmir’s sports ecosystem but also serve as a beacon for fostering unity and social cohesion among the region’s youth.

The league is expected to unearth emerging cricket talent from J&K, providing a structured and competitive environment while promoting values of camaraderie, discipline, and inclusivity.
