Baltal, July 3, 2026- Pilgrims undertaking the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 have lauded the enhanced arrangements made by the administration as the first batch of Yatris began their trek from the Baltal base camp to the Holy Cave Shrine.
A devotee from the first batch expressed satisfaction with the facilities, saying the arrangements this year are significantly better than those in previous years.
“The facilities are much better than last year. The locals, the health department, and the security forces are all providing great support. I will pray that everyone stays united and happy in the country,” the pilgrim said.
The devotee appreciated the coordinated efforts of the local administration, healthcare teams, security personnel, and volunteers, who have been deployed across the Yatra route to ensure the safety and comfort of pilgrims. Medical camps, emergency response teams, sanitation facilities, and round-the-clock security have been put in place to facilitate the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
Thousands of devotees have started the sacred journey to seek the blessings of Baba Barfani, with authorities maintaining strict security measures and comprehensive logistical arrangements along both the Baltal and Pahalgam routes.
The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 commenced on July 3 and is expected to witness lakhs of pilgrims from across the country over the course of the annual pilgrimage.
