Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha held a media interaction at Raj Bhawan, Srinagar, to promote the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, starting July 3, 2025, and ending August 9, 2025. He urged devotees to join in large numbers for this sacred pilgrimage to the Holy Cave Shrine of Baba Barfani (Lord Shiva) at 3,888 meters in the Kashmir Himalayas. The Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB), chaired by LG Sinha, has ensured safe, hassle-free arrangements, including widened tracks (Pahalgam, Baltal routes), handrails, a stainless steel darshan platform, Yatri Niwas, e-rickshaws, and Prasad counters. Over 70,000 security personnel, backed by AI surveillance, ensure safety post the April 2025 Pahalgam attack. Medical facilities every 2 km, 100-bedded hospitals, and Compulsory Health Certificates (CHC) address high-altitude sickness. Over 3.5 lakh pilgrims have registered. LG Sinha performed the Pratham Puja on June 11, 2025, via the Baltal route, emphasizing spiritual fervor and J&K’s composite culture. He urged devotees to use designated convoys, avoid plastics, and prepare via yoga and walks. “Har Har Mahadev,” he said, seeking blessings for devotees and J&K’s progress.
