Shopian, J&K | Jal Jeevan Scheme Changes Lives | Locals Thank PM Modi’s Har Ghar Nal se Jal Mission The Prime Minister’s Jal Jeevan scheme is takking shape in Jammu & Kashmir. We are grateful to PM Narendra Modi said a resident of Shopian, Mohd Yaseen. This scheme is going to benefit around 10-20 villages around Shopian in Jammu & Kashmir. People did not have clean water and toilet facility. Now toilets are being constructed and water supply in toilets will help villages lead a dignified life. These facilities are helping each one in the village including the Gujjars and Bakarwals. Another resident of Shopian Mohd Sahafi said it is a good scheme as those who did not have access to clean water will be benefitted. Also women who used to travel far to bring water on their heads will get a relief. R&D Engineer Amulia Bardwaj said, in Shopian, work is going on a mission mode, i.e., day and night. Employees and engineers are working 24×7 so that it gets completed in time, said the R&D Engineer. Under Har Ghar Nal se Jal scheme there will be no household without the supply of water, the engineer said.
