Srinagar, March 29, 2025 – The Shaan-e-Ramadan Fest 2025, a vibrant two-day event hosted by Kashmir University, concluded on March 26, leaving an indelible mark on students and organisers alike. Organised by the Division of Youth Affairs under the Department of Students’ Welfare , the festival seamlessly combined faith, creativity, and cultural expression, offering a meaningful platform for participants to showcase their talents during the holy month of Ramadan.
Held from March 25 to March 26 at the university’s campus in Srinagar, the Shaan-e-Ramadan Fest featured a series of competitions and celebrations designed to inspire students to engage with the spiritual essence of Ramadan while fostering artistic and intellectual growth. The event culminated in a prize distribution ceremony, where winners of various contests—ranging from poetry recitations and art exhibitions to debates and performances—were felicitated for their outstanding contributions. The festival not only highlighted the participants’ creativity but also reinforced the values of unity, reflection, and devotion central to the Islamic holy month.
Vice-Chancellor of Kashmir University, Prof. Nilofer Khan, presided over the closing ceremony as the chief guest, lauding the efforts of both participants and organizers. “These events not only strengthen our faith but also offer young students a chance to display their talents in a meaningful way,” she remarked, emphasizing the festival’s role in nurturing spiritual growth and providing a creative outlet.
