Srinagar, January 11,2026- Kashmir continues to reel under a severe cold wave, with temperatures plunging well below normal across the Valley, leading to the partial freezing of Dal Lake and Wular Lake.
Sub-zero night temperatures have intensified the cold conditions, affecting daily life and increasing heating demand. Meteorological officials said the ongoing cold wave is among the harsh spells of the season, with several areas recording extreme lows.
The freezing of major water bodies has once again highlighted the intensity of winter in Kashmir, while residents brace for continued cold conditions in the coming days.
Authorities have advised people to take necessary precautions as the cold wave persists.
