Rajouri, March 27,2026- The Department of Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Rajouri successfully concluded a seven-day training programme on scientific bee-keeping at Lamberi village in Rajouri.
The training was conducted under the National Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM), with the objective of promoting modern and scientific apiculture practices among local farmers.
During the programme, participants were trained in advanced techniques of bee management, honey extraction, colony care, and disease control. Experts also highlighted the economic benefits of beekeeping as a sustainable livelihood option.
Officials stated that the initiative aims to enhance farmers’ income, promote self-reliance, and encourage diversification in agriculture practices across the region.
The programme witnessed active participation from local farmers, who expressed keen interest in adopting scientific methods of apiculture to improve productivity and profitability.
