Katra, J&K | November 11, 2025- In the wake of the recent Delhi blast, security has been heightened at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra, with multiple security agencies put on high alert to ensure the safety of devotees.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police, in coordination with the CRPF 6th Battalion, has intensified security measures across the yatra route, including frisking points, baggage checks, and surveillance monitoring. Additional personnel have been deployed at key entry and exit points, and random security checks are being conducted to maintain strict vigilance.
Officials said that patrolling has been increased, and CCTV surveillance systems are being closely monitored to prevent any untoward incident. Devotees arriving for the holy pilgrimage are being urged to cooperate with security personnel for smooth and safe passage.
Authorities have reassured that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims visiting one of India’s most revered shrines. The shrine board has also coordinated with local administration to maintain uninterrupted pilgrimage movement while adhering to heightened security protocols.
